Little Atlin Property
Just over an hour south of Whitehorse, this secluded property is unique - 2.37
acres surrounded on all sides by First Nations settlement lands - no neighbours
to bother you here! The log cabin/home is situated on on a gentle hilltop with
several good building sites. A small 1 km driveway provides access from the
Atlin road, and Little Atlin Lake.
The original log structure has had a frame second storey added by an earlier
owner. There is a small sauna/bathhouse, and raspberry and black current bushes.
The property has a view of Mt Minto, and a small clean, clear creek running
through it.
A double barrel wood heater and propane stove means you can enjoy the cabin
year-round. The well, indoor plumbing and wiring are not currently functional.
There are collapsed chicken barns on the property from the days it provided
60% of the Whitehorse fresh egg supply.
Being half way to Atlin, this is a perfect base for canoeing and fishing on
Snafu, Tarfu and Little Atlin Lakes, as well as the Lubbock River. Also, it's
ideal for hiking and watching mountain goats on White Mountain and mountain
biking and skiing on miles of old trapline roads.
If you are a dog musher, this area is about as good as it gets - lots of trails and disused roads can take you back into the bush, and you have easy access to the lakes.
